The Rosselkhoznadzor was able to track the transit of products across the Russian Federation from countries that fell under the Russian food embargo.
According to the service, it has gained access to the information system of the Russian sealing operator, Center for the Development of Digital Platforms LLC, and will analyze the transit of sanctioned products of animal and plant origin through the territory of the Russian Federation.
This transit is permitted by presidential decree of June 24, 2019, subject to the use of electronic navigation seals.
Monitoring of such shipments is carried out using the goods transportation tracking system, which ensures the collection, processing, storage and online transmission of data on the location and safety of goods to the control and supervisory authorities. Rosselkhoznadzor will have access to information about the type of cargo according to the TN VED nomenclature, the point of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation and the point of exit. The system also allows you to track the exact location of the vehicle.
"According to the Center for the Development of Digital Platforms LLC, the presence of a seal allows for constant control over transportation and makes it possible to quickly respond to a change in route or an attempt to gain unauthorized access to the cargo compartment," the press release says.
