To prevent the supply of goods to foreign markets that do not meet legal requirements, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR  temporarily restricted the shipment of semi-finished poultry products (thighs and thigh fillets of broiler chickens) from Belousovo Poultry Farm LLC (Kaluga Region) due to repeated excess levels of the coccidiostatic maduramicin in quantities of 6.8 and 13.9 μg/kg, with the standard being no more than 2 μg/kg.

Maduramicin is a coccidiostatic agent intended for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis. Regular use of products containing coccidiostatic agents leads to dysbiosis, allergic reactions, and decreased immunity.

In addition, the Service has introduced a regime of enhanced laboratory control in relation to goods from the following enterprises:

Altai Krai

— Kiprinsky Dairy Plant LLC. Unacceptable adulteration of cheese with vegetable fats was detected. Product samples were collected at one of the hypermarket chain's stores in the Bryansk region.

Novosibirsk Oblast

— Novosibirsk CHEESE FACTORY LLC. Laboratory testing of samples taken at one of the chain stores in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) revealed adulteration of processed cheese with vegetable fats. Adulteration of products with non-dairy fats is prohibited.

Sakhalin Oblast

— Okean LLC. Viable larvae of the genus Anisakis were found in pink and chum salmon caviar produced by this company. The presence of viable parasite larvae in products is not permitted.

— Braida Fisheries and Production Company LLC. Viable larvae of the genus Anisakis have been detected in the eggs of raw salmon (pink salmon).

Live larvae of the genus Anisakis—anisakiasis—is a zoonotic helminthiasis from the group of nematodes, characterized by damage to the gastrointestinal tract. In humans , the larvae act as an antigen, causing severe allergies and intestinal inflammation.

Furthermore, Rosselkhoznadzor issued a warning to Velikoluksky Meat-Processing Plant OJSC ( Pskov Region ) due to the presence of starch in its GOST-compliant cooked sausage, which was not declared by the manufacturer as an ingredient. Samples of the product were collected for testing at a supermarket in the Leningrad Region .

The Service also reported other discrepancies detected in livestock products from two Russian companies in the Irkutsk region. For example, a butter sample from Irkutskaya Trading and Purchasing Company LLC revealed discrepancies in coliform bacteria and QMAFAnM. A test of ice cream from SMK Ice Cream Factory LLC also confirmed QMAFAnM levels.

The presence of coliform bacteria and QMAFAnM in prepared food products indicates violations of sanitary regulations, storage periods and temperatures, transportation, and distribution, as well as manufacturing processes. Failure to meet established requirements for these parameters in prepared food products can cause food poisoning if consumed without heat treatment.
