
During 2023, the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus reported to the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR about cases of non-compliances in livestock products supplied from RUSSIA, for which response measures were promptly taken.
In total, from the beginning of the year to May 22, Rosselkhoznadzor received notifications regarding 19 Russian companies, of which 5 are engaged in the production of poultry MEAT, offal and egg products, 6 are pork, 6 are fish and fishmeal, 1 is soybean meal and 1 is cheese.
In meat products, the Belarusian side detected bacteria of the group of Escherichia coli (2 cases), Listeria (5 cases), Salmonella (3 cases), residues of coccidiostatics (2 cases) and antibiotic (1 case).
Non-viable parasites (4), discrepancy between the peroxide value (1) and the mass fraction of protein (1) were found in fish products. A residual amount of an anti-inflammatory drug was found in the cheese (1).
Based on the facts presented, Rosselkhoznadzor promptly takes corrective response measures. Goods of manufacturers that have committed violations are placed under enhanced laboratory control by the Service.
At the same time, 3 Russian companies (branch “Meat and poultry plant “Tokarevsky” of OJSC “Tokarevskaya poultry farm ”; LLC “Bryansky Broiler”; branch Nevinnomyssky LLC “Stavropolsky Broiler”) since November 2022/January 2023 are under temporary restrictions of the Belarusian veterinary service, despite on the evidence provided by Rosselkhoznadzor of the elimination of violations.
