Rosselkhoznadzor is strengthening its quality control over products from three Russian manufacturers.

Key details:

• Traces of pork, not listed in the declared ingredients, were found in canned beef at the Biyskmyasoprodukt production site in the Altai Krai. This indicates the use of raw materials of unknown origin.
• Karat JSC in Moscow also violated the rules, as high levels of sorbic acid, which was not listed on the packaging, were found in its cottage cheese.
• Toxin-forming anaerobes have been detected in calf feed produced by Provimi LLC in the Moscow region , making it dangerous for use without proper heat treatment.

Law enforcement agencies have already warned several other businesses about identified discrepancies related to improper ingredients, which pose a threat to consumer safety. All reports have been forwarded to Rospotrebnadzor for further investigation.
