The production of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight in the Tula region in January-September 2021 amounted to 144.7 thousand tons, which is 5.5% more than in the same period in 2020, reports the territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service for Tula region (Tulastat).
MILK production in January-September increased by 1.3% - up to 141 thousand tons. 521.7 million eggs were produced, which is 35.6% more than in January-September 2020.
As of October 1, 2021, farms of all categories of the region kept 163.9 thousand heads of cattle (an increase of 5%), including cows - 64.5 thousand heads (an increase of 10%), pigs - 376 .4 thousand heads (growth by 0.8%), sheep and goats - 70.7 thousand heads (growth by 10.2%).
