The Danone branch in RUSSIA considers claims about the discovery of antibiotics in two product samples to be “false and unfounded.” This was reported to RBC by the company's press service.

Danone sent product samples to two independent accredited laboratories, one of which has already confirmed the absence of antibiotics, the company is expecting the results of the second in the near future, the press service said.

Danone insists that 100% of the raw milk that enters its factories is tested for antibiotic residues. The milk that enterprises accept comes with veterinary certificates issued by the state veterinary service - they confirm that the raw materials meet state quality and safety standards and are recognized as suitable for industrial processing. “By accepting raw milk with this certificate, we receive government guarantees that the raw materials comply with state quality and safety standards. Confirming the absence of animal diseases is the direct responsibility of the sanitary and veterinary service,” Danone said in a statement.

The company emphasized that planned control of finished products is carried out in the laboratories of Rospotrebnadzor and Rosstandart. “We guarantee that all our products are completely safe and comply with the laws of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union,” emphasizes the Danone representative in Russia.
