The strategy for the development of organic production for 2030 was approved by the Government, and the next step is to develop a step-by-step plan for the application of this strategy, according to the Ministry of Agriculture . In the message of the department, it is indicated that the goals of the strategy include the development of the domestic organic market, the development of organic supplies to foreign markets and the introduction of the latest agricultural technologies in the industry.
Among the tasks that the government plans to solve within the framework of the Strategy, there are four important areas. This is work on the mutual recognition of certificates for organic products with other countries; development of sales of organics in foreign markets; development of credit products for organic producers; training new personnel for work in the organic production industry. The government will provide a detailed implementation plan within six months of the adoption of the Strategy.
Mikhail Mishustin, discussing the Strategy, pointed out that the demand for organics is growing both in RUSSIA and abroad. This is due both to the preferences of consumers who choose healthier products, and to the introduction of agricultural technologies that reduce the burden on the environment. In addition, organic production makes it possible to involve agricultural land that has not previously been treated with mineral fertilizers and plant protection products.
