The number of cattle in the Bryansk region grew by 10% in 2021

The production of cattle heads in the farms of the Bryansk region for the first nine months of 2021 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year. More than 80% of the heads bred in the region are beef cattle, the press service of the regional government reports on Monday.

"According to the data for the first nine months of 2021, on the territory of the Bryansk region, there are 571,100 heads of cattle in farms of all categories, which is 110% of the level of the previous year. More than 80% of the cattle bred in the region is accounted for by four enterprises ", - explained in the press service.

The Miratorg agricultural holding is considered the largest producer of cattle in the region. The company carries out a full production cycle: from crop production and meat production to processing and selling meat products in a branded retail network. In mid-2020, the manufacturer launched a meat processing plant in the Vygonichsky district of the Bryansk region, in which it invested more than 5.4 billion rubles.
