Meat production increased in Tambov region

In the structure of all types of produced MEAT, a significant volume is pork. For two months, 36.8 thousand tons of pork were produced in the agricultural enterprises of the region, which is 13% more than in 2022.

The increase in production indicators was achieved through the use of modern automated feeding systems and housing technologies in pig farms.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, by the end of 2023, it is planned to produce more than 649 thousand tons of meat in all categories of farms in the region, which exceeds last year's value.

- The increase in production is our contribution to the successful fulfillment of the tasks of ensuring the country's food security. As well as expanding the production of quality products, which have a high level of competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets, - said the HEAD of the region Maxim Egorov.
