Disinfection completed on Miratorg farms in the Oryol region

Outbreaks of ASF at the production sites of ABH Miratorg - artificial insemination stations and the territory of pig breeding complexes in the Shablykinsky and Dmitrovsky districts of the Oryol region were registered in September, the last ten days of November and early December 2022.

At the meeting, the HEAD of the regional veterinary department, Alexei Maksimovsky, reported that disinfection had been completed at all facilities. Next week, February 20 and 21, specialists will take swabs to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-epizootic measures. Based on the results of the examination, a decision will be made on the settlement of the affected Miratorg farms with young animals.

To prevent the spread of the ASF virus, the frequency of studies of the biological material of pigs in the region will be increased. In 2021-2022, their number increased from 16.7 thousand to more than 44 thousand.
