The majority of payments made under subsidized contracts—over 545 million rubles—were for damage to crop production. Farmers in 18 regions received compensation for crop losses. Farms in the Samara Region received the largest amount of compensation for crop damage, at 206 million rubles. Farmers in the Orenburg Region received approximately 59 million rubles in compensation. Agricultural enterprises in the Oryol Region and the Republic of Mordovia each received approximately 53 million rubles in insurance payments. NSA insurers paid over 49 million rubles to crop growers in the Tula Region.
Livestock farmers received insurance payments from NSA companies during the same period: 30 million rubles in Khabarovsk Krai, over 12 million rubles in Oryol Oblast, over 7 million rubles in Chelyabinsk Oblast, and others.
In addition, large payments under state-supported agricultural insurance contracts were made to agricultural enterprises in Lipetsk Oblast (47 million rubles), Kursk Oblast (30 million rubles), Omsk and Saratov Oblasts (17 million rubles each), and Volgograd Oblast (over 10 million rubles).
The largest portion of payments made by NSA insurers over the five months—270 million rubles—were for crop losses due to hail. A significant portion of the damage compensation, totaling 202 million rubles, was for crop losses due to waterlogged soil and rain. A significant sum—approximately 65 million rubles—was also reimbursed to farmers for losses related to risks associated with soil and atmospheric drought.
"In recent years, there has been a marked upward trend in insurance payouts. As a reminder, in 2021-2022 alone, farmers received approximately 9.4 billion rubles in insurance compensation from NSA insurers. Even last year, despite being the most favorable in terms of weather conditions, NSA companies paid out 3.8 billion rubles—the second-largest insurance payout in the last five years. Given that the agroclimatic situation nationwide is significantly less favorable this year, NSA predicts a further increase in reported losses and, consequently, in insurance payouts. "At the same time, we are seeing a significant increase in farmers' interest in agricultural insurance at events in the regions , which is currently practically the only and indispensable tool for compensating the country's agricultural producers for losses from adverse natural events," emphasized NSA President Kornei Bizhdov. According to Federal Law No. 260-F3 "On State Support in Agricultural Insurance," state support

Only insurance companies that are members of the National Union of Agricultural Insurers, a single all-Russian association, are authorized to enter into state-supported insurance contracts. Insurance is provided based on uniform standard rules for each insurance program provided within the agricultural insurance system.
