China to significantly cut pork imports

Monthly pork and offal imports into CHINA , based on data from the Chinese Government Customs Service .

In the first nine months of 2024 , China's pork and offal imports fell significantly by nearly 21% compared with 2023, reflecting changes in domestic production.

China imported 790,000 tons of pork from January to September 2024, down 38% from the same period in 2023. Offal imports were more stable, up 4.5% year-on-year, with total imports reaching 930,000 tons.
