The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Altai is working with municipalities to prevent road accidents involving farm animals. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Andrey Tsygulev announced this on his Telegram channel.

“Despite the fact that in each region there are places for grazing and driving animals, accidents with their participation occur on the roads of the republic on a regular basis. Violation of the passage and grazing of farm animals is an administrative offense, the commissions issue protocols and impose fines on the owners, but this does not fully solve the problem,” the RA Minister of Agriculture wrote.

According to Andrey Tsygulev, they decided to conduct an experiment in the Kosh-Agach district - animals grazing in close proximity to the roads will be fixed with reflective elements.

Another option that is successfully used on the territory of the republic is the installation of an electronic fence. Electric shepherds have already been installed along the federal highway in the Ongudaysky district.

And in order to stimulate their purchase and installation along roads with heavy traffic, state support for agricultural producers was introduced in the region through the Ministry of Agriculture. We are talking about reimbursement of part of the costs of purchasing an electronic fence in the amount of 70 percent.

Recall that in Tuva, for several years now, owners have marked their livestock - horses and cows - with reflective paint and retroreflective elements. So they become more noticeable on the roadway at night.
