Food Prices in Russia Continue to Rise: Overview of Changes as of January 27, 2025

The most notable price changes over the week continued to affect items such as vodka and fresh cucumbers, each up 1%. Other products such as potatoes and various types of cheese also registered a 0.9% increase. On the other hand, items that fell in price over the week included chicken and tomatoes , which fell in price by 0.3% and 0.5%, respectively.

In a monthly comparison, the largest price increase was recorded for fresh cucumbers (+7.9%) and vodka (+6.1%). There are also products that showed a slight price decrease over the month, such as cooked sausage and canned meat for baby food.

Price dynamics demonstrate a stable growth trend, which, according to existing forecasts, will continue in the near future.
