Rostov Region Agricultural Companies Increase Meat Production at the Expense of Private Farms

Agricultural organizations increased their share in total production by 2%, producing 213.6 thousand tons, which is 3% more than in 2023. Now they occupy 54% of the regional market. At the same time, farms reduced their figures to 46.5 thousand tons, losing 0.2% of the market, and private subsidiary farms (PSF) reduced production to 135.9 thousand tons, losing more than 1% of their share.

In the organized sector, significant growth is observed in cattle production , which increased by 38%. However, in dairy production, agricultural organizations also experienced a decrease in volumes - from 148 to 146 thousand tons, while farmers and private households were able to maintain and even increase their indicators. In general, the organized sector produced slightly more than a quarter of MILK in the region, the rest is accounted for by households.
