
November 22, Minsk. The Cherven regional department of the Investigative Committee completed the investigation of a criminal case on robbery and illegal imprisonment. This was announced to BelTA by the official representative of the USC in the Minsk region Elena Krupenina.
"As established by the investigation, on the afternoon of June 11, a 42-year-old resident of Cherven with a friend came to visit a 72-year-old woman. The man asked for money to buy alcohol. After drinking together, he began to demand Br100 from the pensioner. Having heard the refusal, the man grabbed a stick and beat her woman, after which he stole the bank payment cards of the victim," the USC said.
Also, another fact of the criminal activity of the accused was revealed, and again - on the basis of alcohol consumption. In the summer of 2018, he gave money to an acquaintance, a 52-year-old woman, and asked to buy alcohol. She complied with the request, but she consumed all the alcohol herself. Having learned about this, the accused grabbed the victim by her clothes, opened the lid of the cellar and began to push her there. The man closed the cellar and released the woman only an hour later.The defendant, victims and witnesses were interrogated in the criminal case, confrontations and an investigative experiment were carried out, the results of a number of expert studies were studied and attached to the materials of the criminal case. At the place of residence of an elderly woman, a stick with traces of blood was seized, and at the place of residence of the accused - two bank payment cards of the victim.
His criminal actions are qualified under part 2 of article 207 (robbery committed repeatedly) and under part 1 of article 183 (illegal imprisonment) of the Criminal Code. The man had a previous conviction for theft. With regard to the accused, with the sanction of the prosecutor, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied.
