Law enforcement officials decided to step up their game, adopting them and actively using them to maintain public order and monitor road safety. Officers explained that there are three types of UAVs: reconnaissance, attack, and reconnaissance-attack. The former are equipped with a camera and are used to monitor the situation. The latter are kamikaze drones. They carry, for example, a grenade launcher shell and fly one-way. Officers noted that this is very effective, as one thousand-dollar drone can destroy a tank worth several million. The third type can be equipped with explosives, which can be dropped from the drone.
In addition to modern weaponry, the festival also featured weapons used by law enforcement in the past, ranging from examples from the Great Patriotic War to those recently used by law enforcement. Uniforms of Ministry of Internal Affairs officers were also on display, ranging from those used when the
Minsk police were first formed to the more modern and sophisticated models that have replaced them.
A number of booths demonstrated the work of law enforcement. For example, there was a booth demonstrating the work of drug enforcement units. Officers explained the dangers of drugs, demonstrating on a mannequin how they affect the human body. Visitors were also invited to walk around wearing glasses that simulated how people feel when intoxicated. No one could walk around for long wearing these glasses, as they caused severe dizziness and distorted
vision . Nearby were also tents for the cybercrime units, the Ministry of Internal Affairs' psychological service, the Department of Citizenship and Migration, the Department of Security, and others.
Service animals, who also work to maintain law and order and ensure public safety, were also on display nearby. Visitors were invited to watch demonstrations by canine handlers and service dogs. Horseback patrols were also on display.
Passengers were also given the opportunity to ride Segways, tricycles, and mopeds driven by law enforcement officers. For the little ones, there were cars available, which
parents controlled with a remote control .
However, the kids were even more intrigued by the chance to sit inside real police cars. The organizers allowed all visitors to climb inside or on top of the special vehicles. Among them were armored vehicles, a paddy wagon, and a vehicle with a machine gun mounted in the back. The children were thrilled by a vehicle equipped with a special assault barrier system called "Rubezh." They were able to turn on the vehicle's siren, sound the horn, and issue a few commands through the loudspeaker.
The special atmosphere at the celebration was enhanced by the performances of artists on the stage in front of the Minsk Arena. Musical performances were provided by the brass band of military unit 3310 and the vocal and instrumental ensemble of the Minsk Security Department's "Favorite City" department.
If guests grew tired of such a variety of activities, they could rest and grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby vendors selling shashlik, pilaf, and other food. Soldier's porridge, served free of charge, was a special treat.
Next, the audience was treated to demonstrations by units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The performance opened with a play from the country's recent past. Bandits from the 1990s drove onto the stage in front of the audience at high speed, and a conflict soon erupted between them. The brawl between the gangsters was quickly stopped by police officers, who detained everyone to the sound of flash-bang grenades.
The audience's attention was drawn to the roof of the Minsk Arena. OMON officers were stationed there. They demonstrated wall rappels using climbing equipment to the guests. They also performed acrobatic feats, much to the delight of those present.
Next, officers from the special traffic safety unit of the State Traffic Inspectorate performed on motorcycles. Several motorcyclists demonstrated mesmerizing driving maneuvers resembling dance.
The event continued with a festive concert held within the Minsk Arena itself. The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Minsk attended. Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic and authorized representative of the
head of state in Minsk, delivered a welcoming speech. She congratulated the capital's police officers on the holiday and read aloud.
The President of Belarus sent a congratulatory message to the personnel and veterans of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee. Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan also congratulated the law enforcement officers on this holiday.
Kubrakov and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev.
Next came the musical performances. Pop stars, departmental artists, and children's groups gave the audience a wealth of thrills.
This can be said of the entire festival as a whole. Law enforcement officers managed to organize a variety of engaging activities for visitors, providing vibrant and positive emotions and allowing them to have a great time. They also had the opportunity to get a closer look at the work of the capital's police.
