The monitoring was carried out by three aircraft deployed at the airfields of Lipki, Ozerki and Vitebsk. This was reported to BelTA at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The first overflights took place on Saturday, June 18, during which 9 districts of the Vitebsk region and 10 districts of the Minsk region monitored the places of recreation of citizens on the waters. The main goal of such events is to attract the attention of the population to the problem of death of people on water bodies, to inform about safety rules, as well as to identify unauthorized bathing places and violations of the rules for protecting people's lives on the waters.
With the help of loud-speaking devices, vacationers were reminded of the basic rules of behavior on water bodies, warned about the inadmissibility of being in the water while intoxicated , and also urged parents not to leave their children unattended.
72 water objects were surveyed on air patrol routes. 21 unauthorized bathing places have been identified. This work continues today.
“It is worth noting that within the framework of aviation patrols, fire hazard situations in natural ecosystems are also monitored. it is the aviation type of monitoring that makes it possible to detect fires in forests at the initial stage of their development, which contributes to their rapid elimination and minimization of the consequences of their occurrence,” the press service emphasized.
