In the Moscow region, agricultural producers are provided with seeds of grain and potatoes by 100%

Agricultural producers of the Moscow region are fully provided with domestic grain and potato seeds.
“The Moscow region in 2022 reached record yields for grain and leguminous crops. The average yield in the region was 39.6 q/ha. A year earlier, in 2021, this figure was 28.9 q/ha. As a result of the enormous work of our farmers, we are fully prepared for the sowing season. Thus, the supply of grain and potato seeds is 100%,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Oilseeds in the region are provided by 98%, vegetables - by 97%. The process of concluding contracts continues, by the start the sowing demand will be completely closed.
In addition, contracts have already been concluded in the region for the purchase of more than 170 tons of plant protection products.
Recall that in 2022, grains and legumes were harvested on an area of ​​​​more than 170 thousand hectares (100% of the plan), the gross harvest amounted to 679 thousand tons, which exceeded the figures for 2021 by 206 thousand tons.
