The farmers of the Dobrinsky district were the first to enter the fields. They began to thresh the winter wheat. Dobrinsky grain growers will have to harvest grain and legumes on an area of 65,000 hectares, including 34,000 hectares of winter wheat.
Farm machine operators Alexander Vasnev, Alexei Saprykin and Mikhail Bykov gave a symbolic start to the current harvest. For three of them, they have a solid work experience on the ground, in total, almost a hundred years. Any agricultural technique they mastered and brought to perfection. Last autumn, they were entrusted with sowing winter wheat, and in the spring they fed plants that had come out of hibernation. The current harvest began earlier than the usual agrotechnical terms, more and more agricultural enterprises now prefer early-ripening varieties. The first harvested hectares showed excellent yields - over 55 centners per circle. Grain moisture content is at the level of 12%. This means that the bread will go through only a minor part-time work on the current and fall asleep for storage. The high percentage of gluten in new crop wheat puts it in food grade.
Soon the harvesting campaign will begin in other areas. According to Oleg Dolgikh, HEAD of the Lipetsk region's agriculture department, this year the region's farmers will have to harvest over 800,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops. The total sown area in the current year amounted to 1.4 million hectares.
