Tatyana Nedrogailova, head of a peasant farm in the Bakcharsky District, purchased 30 head of red-and-white Holstein cattle.
The animals arrived from Krasnoyarsk Krai, where one of Siberia's leading breeding farms, JSC Arefyevskoye, operates in the Kansky District. The farmer received a subsidy from the regional budget amounting to almost 50% of the cost for the purchase of the breeding animals.
As a reminder, in 2023, the entrepreneur received a grant of 23.5 million rubles for the development of a family meat farm. With the grant funds, she purchased 150 Hereford heifers and three bulls, built a livestock farm , and acquired forage harvesting equipment and machinery, including a mower and sprayer, a feed mill, a mixer wagon, a feed storage facility, and a loader. A 7-kilometer-long perimeter fence was erected using her own funds. Currently, the Nedrogailova peasant farm has 400 head of beef cattle , including 250 cows.
Tatyana Nedrogailova also chairs the Bakcharsky Farmer agricultural production cooperative. In 2020, the district's agricultural producers united to build a new dairy facility with a capacity of 1.5 tons of milk per day and began producing products under the Bakcharsky Farmer brand. This in-house production has made it possible to meet the remote district's dairy needs and provide schools, kindergartens, and the local community with tasty, fresh, and affordable products.
As Tatyana Nedrogailova explained, there is now a need to increase the dairy herd, as raw milk is no longer sufficient to produce the entire range of dairy products. This is why the farmer decided to expand her operations and engage in dairy farming.
"We deliberately selected breeding animals from a trusted supplier. The Krasnoyarsk enterprise is renowned for its high milk yields – up to 11,000 kg per year per forage-fed cow. Thanks to this, we will significantly increase raw milk production, which is necessary to maintain and expand our dairy product range," the farmer explained.
To develop the dairy business, the entrepreneur purchased a 3-ton milk cooler, a thermos barrel for delivering raw milk to the processing plant, and high-tech equipment for the milking parlor.
Tatyana Nedrogailova is currently restoring the old dairy farm, which stood empty for seven years. This is where the Holsteins will be kept. The farm plans to increase its dairy herd to 100 head.
