In 2023, the Tomsk region exported 139.7 thousand tons of agricultural products worth $97.8 million - 20.4% more than in 2022.
Last year, the region sent oil and fat products worth $47.79 million to the foreign market - 1.4 times more than in 2022. In particular, exports of rapeseed oil increased from 32.3 to 40.9 million dollars, which is 41.8% of all exports of the Tomsk agro-industrial complex.
As Evgenia Bulkina, HEAD of the department for socio-economic development of villages in the Tomsk region, explained, the competitive advantage of the region is the launch of a modern rapeseed processing plant in 2019 by the Sibirskaya Oliva company. “In terms of technological level, the enterprise has no analogues in RUSSIA and actually produces two types of products. This is rapeseed oil , the main consumer of which is CHINA , and rapeseed cake,” noted Evgenia Bulkina.
For pork and poultry MEAT, the region not only meets its own needs by 150%, but also sends products to the foreign market. Pork ranks second in the share of exports . Basically, Tomsk meat products are bought by Mongolia, Kazakhstan , Vietnam and China.
The Tomsk region also exports grain crops, bran, cake,ice cream , beer , wine , jams and sauces, confectionery, vegetables, legumes, nuts, flax seeds and FLOUR.
The main buyers of Tomsk agricultural goods are China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey , Korea (DPRK), Vietnam, Malaysia, Armenia, Czech Republic, India.
The regional project “Export of Agricultural Products” is being implemented within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2019.
