Don enterprises plan to increase the export of fish and other products to the Republic of Belarus

The official delegation of the Rostov region paid a working visit to the Republic of Belarus . it included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Don region, the Rostov regional station for combating animal diseases with an anti-epizootic detachment, as well as leading agro-industrial and fisheries enterprises in the region. The delegation was headed by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Olga Gorbaneva. The main thematic areas of the visit were the issues of cooperation between the Don region and the Republic of Belarus in the fields of seed production, animal husbandry, fisheries and veterinary medicine.
“On behalf of the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, a visit of our agricultural and fish-breeding enterprises, as well as departments in charge of agricultural issues, was organized to the international specialized exhibition Belagro-2023,” said Viktor Goncharov, First Deputy HEAD of the Don Region. - In addition, members of the delegation visited a number of leading industry enterprises of the republic in order to agree on cooperation. Moreover, it is already developing in a number of directions.”
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the basis of Don agro-export to the Republic of Belarus was sunflower oil , rapeseed seeds, cereals, FLOURand confectionery. So last year, the Mayak company from Zernograd signed an agreement for the supply of lentil groats to the Republic of Belarus and exported almost 130 tons of groats. In addition, in 2022, the Russky Bereg enterprise from the Neklinovsky District exported about 42 tons of frozen fish, as well as frozen fish fillets.
The official program of the visit of the Don delegation began with a working meeting with representatives of structural units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus led by Deputy Minister of Belarus Vladimir Grakun. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation in matters of mutual supplies and artificial reproduction of marketable fish (sturgeon species) and sturgeon caviar, carp larvae and fry, fish processing products, compound feed for birds, farm animals and fish. They also agreed on the exchange of experience in the production of MEAT and bone and fish meal, as well as in the sectors of dairy farming and crop breeding.
Later, members of the Don delegation visited a number of leading livestock farms of the republic. Thus, members of the delegation visited the subdivisions of Brestbreeding enterprise, where selection and breeding work is carried out. Also, Donetsk residents got acquainted with the work of the dairy complex of the diversified farm JSC Gastellovskoye.
In addition, the program of the visit included fish farms. One of them is the largest enterprise in the Republic of Belarus for the cultivation of rainbow trout - Lokhva Trout Farm OJSC, with a production capacity of 700 tons of commercial trout per year. Also, members of the Don delegation visited the production units of one of the largest producers of live fish in the Republic of JSC Rybkhoz Volma, which specializes in the full cycle of cultivation from eggs to the finished product and the reproduction of fish seed.
The program of the visit to the Republic of Belarus ended with a visit to the international specialized exhibition Belagro-2023. As part of the event, an agreement was signed between the fish-breeding enterprises of the Don region and the management of the Institute of Fisheries of the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Animal Husbandry" on the supply of larvae and fish stock of carp and herbivorous fish species from the Rostov Region to the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, within the framework of the agricultural forum, a working meeting was held between Olga Gorbaneva, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region, and the management of Amkodor OJSC, a manufacturer of agricultural and other specialized equipment, on cooperation in the supply of agricultural machinery and spare parts for them.
In addition, at the exhibition, the heads of the Don livestock enterprises signed contracts for the purchase of various agricultural equipment, including transportation for calves, a self-propelled mixer, an automatic complex for washing and processing cattle hooves, feed mixing machines, as well as equipment and machinery for tillage .
