
On June 15, at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with Alexander Rudakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ECO-Culture agro-industrial holding. They discussed the implementation of the company's investment plans for the construction of a modern high-tech greenhouse complex on the territory of the republic with an area of 20 hectares for year-round tomato cultivation.
The project budget is about 10 billion rubles, and the production capacity of the complex will be 13,000 tons of vegetables per year.
The head of the region noted that the republic is ready to actively cooperate with the company, which is one of the leading Russian agricultural producers.
- Bashkortostan has a strong tradition of growing vegetables in greenhouses. The arrival of a serious player will allow us to increase the volume of production, - said Radiy Khabirov.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic and the Corporation for the Development of Bashkortostan have already selected potential sites for the placement of greenhouses, and have also held talks with resource-supplying organizations about the possibility of connecting to power grids.
Alexander Rudakov noted that the ECO-culture holding is focused on launching new industries and increasing the number of jobs, creating modern high-tech greenhouse complexes and logistics infrastructure. The structures, materials and components used in construction are mainly of domestic production.
- Currently, we have 500 hectares of greenhouse areas in our asset. We have created more than 10 thousand jobs. We have our own center for innovative developments, we are working on a project for the construction of our own selection and seed-growing center, - said Alexander Rudakov. - We are ready to start working together. Already in July we plan to come to Bashkortostan to inspect the land plots for the future greenhouse complex.
After the meeting, in the presence of Radiy Khabirov and Alexander Rudakov, an agreement on investment intentions was signed between the Government of Bashkortostan and the agricultural holding "ECO-culture". The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the region Ilshat Fazrakhmanov and President of the holding Maria Bocharova.
