Crimean farmers harvested 110 tons of Yalta onions. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrey Ryumshin as part of a working trip to the Bakhchisarai region.

“The Yalta onion harvesting campaign has started in the Bakhchisaray district, and the collection has been completed in the Sovetsky district. In total, 19 hectares are to be harvested. This year, for the second time, the republic presents the tasty and healthy Yalta Onion brand at the second National Tastes of Russia competition. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia,” the Deputy Prime Minister commented.

Andrey Ryumshin also recalled that last year the brand entered the top 10 regions of Russia. More than 3,000 Russians cast their votes for Yalta Luk. One of the enterprises that grows this product is Crimean Vegetable Factory LLC.

“This year, 14 hectares of Yalta onions have been planted here. In 2020, Crimean Vegetable Factory LLC harvested almost 2,000 tons of tomatoes, 300 tons of onions, 590 tons of Chinese cabbage Crimean Vegetable Factory LLC is an active participant in state support programs. For the period from 2016 to 2020, the enterprise received subsidies totaling more than 22 million rubles,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers.

The plant has been operating since 2000 and is the legal successor of KSP Kolkhoz Ukraine. Crimean Vegetable Factory LLC specializes in the production of greenhouse vegetables. This year, on an area of ​​6.5 hectares, they began to grow garden strawberries of the Elsanta variety. The gross harvest of strawberries amounted to 154 tons.

Andrey Ryumshin monitored the production at the enterprise of crops in the open field. The impeccable quality of the grown products is highly appreciated by both Crimeans and residents of other regions of the country. Vegetable factory tomatoes are in great demand from Central Russia to Siberia. In Crimea, the company's products are sold at agricultural fairs.
The area of ​​the greenhouse complex is 6 hectares. Until 2014, the company grew tomatoes and cucumbers. Since 2015, the factory has switched to the production of mono products - pink tomato "Esmira". Since the beginning of this year, the gross production of greenhouse vegetables has amounted to 1,430 tons.
