Agrarians of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are preparing for the sowing campaign

Traditional zonal meetings in preparation for the sowing campaign have started in the region. The agrarians of the eastern, central and northern groups of districts were the first to "synchronize their watches".
At a meeting in the Kansky district, representatives of agribusiness, heads of municipalities, specialists from agricultural departments and departments of territories, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Territory also discussed fire safety rules during the sowing campaign, support for the agro-industrial complex and other tasks.
“Under the leadership of the Governor, an operational headquarters is working in the region to stabilize the economy. The ministry has formed working groups to ensure the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and the consumer market. There are many questions about the situation in agriculture, the food and processing industry, and the food sector. The main tasks for the near future are high-quality preparation and conduct of seasonal field work. For this, the region has all the necessary resources,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region - Minister of Agriculture and Trade Leonid Shorokhov.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Territory Ilya Vasilyev said that this year the total sown area of ​​agricultural crops in the Territory is projected at the level of 1 million 515 thousand hectares, which is 2.7% more than a year earlier. About 953 thousand hectares are allocated for grain and leguminous crops - plus 23 thousand hectares to the level of last year. Sowing of industrial crops will amount to almost 240 thousand hectares - a 22 percent increase by 2021. In particular, rapeseed will occupy 204.5 thousand hectares, which is 14% more than last year. The crops of oilseed flax-curly flax will continue to increase - up to 20.5 thousand hectares, which is almost three times more than in 2021.
Potatoes will be planted on 31.2 thousand hectares, vegetables - on 5.4 thousand hectares, which is slightly higher than last year. Forage crops will occupy 286 thousand hectares.
The total area of ​​cultivated arable land this year will increase by 6 thousand hectares and will amount to 1 million 924 thousand hectares.
Farmers have about 92.5% of their own seeds of grain and leguminous crops. The remaining volume is planned to be purchased from the seed farms of the region and neighboring regions for variety change and variety renewal. Provision of seed material for spring rapeseed and corn is about 60%. Deliveries under the concluded contracts continue.
Agricultural producers intend to buy about 78 thousand tons of the active ingredient of mineral fertilizers - plus 15% compared to last year. More than 50% of the planned volume of mineral fertilizers has already been delivered, which is more than for the same period last year.
The delivery of fuels and lubricants continues. The price per tonne of demi-season diesel fuel grew by only 3% compared to the same period last year, and per tonne of motor gasoline it decreased by 15%.
The readiness of agricultural machinery is higher than the level of 2021 and is about 90%.
“The priorities of the work of the executive and legislative authorities are to support small and medium-sized businesses, personal subsidiary farms, and agricultural cooperation. In crop production - the preservation and increase in areas under potatoes and vegetables in the real sector of the economy. This is a nationwide trend. For potato growers and vegetable growers, higher support per hectare is provided, as well as assistance for the purchase of specialized agricultural equipment. The issue of subsidizing the construction of vegetable and potato storage facilities is under consideration. Increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of dairy farming in the region, ensuring year-round employment of the villagers are also our key tasks,” summed up Leonid Shorokhov.
