
This year, agricultural organizations in the region have seen positive trends in livestock production.
This was reported by Alexey Molchanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock Development, during a meeting of the regional parliament's Committee on Agrarian Issues, Land Relations, Ecology, and Nature Management.
Egg production at agricultural organizations increased by 38.4% from January to October, while livestock and poultry production for slaughter increased by 11.4%. Milk production increased by 8.2%.
Furthermore, the Saratov Region is among the top 20 Russian regions for milk and egg production, ranking 13th and 15th, respectively. These figures are based on statistical data from the first nine months of 2025.
"The region continues to systematically increase dairy productivity by enhancing genetic potential and improving the quality of feed, as well as creating new livestock spaces through investment projects," said Alexey Molchanov.
According to the Deputy Minister, 13 investment projects have been completed in the region to date, including six in dairy farming, six in poultry farming, and one in fish farming. In total, livestock farmers in the region will implement 20 major investment projects in 2025.
