Farmers of Chuvashia with state support are preparing for the new agricultural season – 2025

"In Chuvashia, over 200 agricultural producers have taken advantage of state support in the form of preferential loans in a year. For loans to large farms, banks are reimbursed 50% of the Central Bank's key rate set at the time of the agreement, and for loans to small agribusinesses - 70%. The amount of subsidies amounted to 168.9 million rubles. Thanks to this, farmers purchased new machinery, equipment, fertilizers, plant protection products, which will also be used in the 2025 season," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergey Artamonov.
One example of the effective use of opportunities from the state is the farm "Enezh" from the Kozlovsky District. it is engaged in the cultivation of vegetables, potatoes, seedlings and grain crops. With the help of preferential loans and subsidies for the purchase of equipment, the agricultural producer has completely updated its technical park in 5 years, doubled production and expanded the area of cultivation of land from 1.5 thousand to 5.3 thousand hectares.
"Every year we take preferential loans, under the technical modernization program we update the equipment: it breaks down less often, accordingly, we carry out sowing and harvesting work on time," shared the HEAD of the farm Ivan Semenov.
This year alone, with state support, "Enezh" acquired a seedling planting machine, three MTZ-82 tractors, an RSM-2400 tractor, a 5-meter ChDA - a combined unit that carries out disking and deep loosening. Fertilizers and fuels were also purchased at a preferential rate of 8.3% instead of the 21% set by the Central Bank.
Now the plans include further expansion of the sowing area, construction of a new hangar for storing equipment (concrete work is already underway), and construction of boiler houses for heating greenhouses.
Another example of competent preparation for agricultural work in 2025 is the farm of Andrey Khoroshavin from the Tsivilsky District, which grows grain crops, rapeseed, and grass on an area of 3 thousand hectares.
“We have been working for 18 years now, all these years we have been using preferential loans and subsidies for the purchased equipment. I think that all 100% of the equipment is purchased with state support. This year, we bought one combine in January for the 2024 harvest and are now waiting for another one for the next harvest,” the farmer says.
Also, with the help of loans with a reduced rate, the farm was supplied with mineral fertilizers and plant protection products in the amount of a thousand tons. They will be used, among other things, for the upcoming harvest.
The agricultural producer calls such support necessary. “Today, at the market rate, I believe that effective agricultural production is impossible without preferential loans. If they were not provided to us, we would be forced to sell our products much cheaper and our efficiency could actually drop to zero,” the head of the farm shared.
In total, under the preferential loan program, in 2024, the republic's farmers made purchases for 5.26 billion rubles. Of these, the largest volume was issued by JSC Rosselkhozbank.
“The bank has provided farmers with more than 1.6 billion rubles in loans, and the bulk of them are at a preferential rate. Of these, over 750 million are for the purchase of equipment. Loans for seasonal field work, the purchase of farm animals and the modernization and construction of livestock buildings and storage facilities are also in demand,” noted Natalya Borodavina, Deputy DIRECTOR of the Chuvashia Regional Branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank.
