Минфин США сообщил, что Госдеп вводит визовые ограничения в отношении 635 россиян. Все они, как считают в Вашингтоне, причастны «к подавлению инакомыслия в России и за рубежом» и «деятельности, угрожающей территориальной целостности Украины», говорится в сообщении Минфина.

Кроме того, Госдеп США ввел визовые ограничения в отношении трех российских чиновников «за причастность к грубым нарушениям прав человека «и 17 лиц, «ответственных за подрыв демократии в Белоруссии».

О визовых ограничениях в отношении россиян Минфин и Госдеп США сообщили одновременно с введением санкций против нескольких десятков российских компаний и физлиц, которые, как считают в Вашингтоне, причастны к обходу ранее введенных ограничений. В их числе оказался первый зампред ЦБ Ксения Юдаева и председатель правления банка «Открытие» Михаил Задорнов. Кроме того, под санкции попали компании, связанные с предпринимателем Константином Малофеевым.
