MINSK . Two teenagers in the Pukhovichi district stole cars for a friend's birthday, Anna Adashkevich, official spokesperson for the Minsk Region Office of the State Forensic Expertise Committee, told BelTA.
Residents of the Pukhovichi district reportedly contacted the police after two car thefts. Both crimes were committed on the same
night in the agro-town of Novosyolki.
it was established that the two young men decided to celebrate their friend's birthday that night, and to fully experience the occasion, they needed a car. One of them suggested borrowing a neighbor's car, which was always left unlocked overnight. The teenagers drove it to a nearby street, where they remembered another car, which, due to the carelessness of its owner, had also been left unlocked overnight with the keys in the ignition. Having illegally acquired both cars, the young men headed to their friend's place. After taking her, they drove around the district in both cars and celebrated

The investigative team conducted inspections of the crime scenes, during which a specialist from the Pukhovichi Interdistrict Department of the State Forensic Expertise Committee recovered two fingerprints from a plastic bottle located inside the VAZ vehicle, as well as from the driver's door of a Lada Granta.
Police officers established the involvement of two minors, residents of the Pukhovichi District, born in 2008 and 2009, in the car thefts. Forensic experts from the Minsk Region confirmed that the recovered fingerprints were made by the suspects.
