If this rate continues, total import volumes could reach 200,000-250,000 tons, equivalent to half a million tons of live pork. Kovalev noted that if the current trend continues, pork ham prices in Russia could decline by 10-15% and even fall below cost in 2026. According to the Russian Poultry Union, Russian poultry imports in 2025 totaled 327,000 tons, a 4% increase from 2024 , while Russian poultry exports increased to 445,000 tons, a 6.5% increase from the previous year.
