Most Russian companies did not reduce social packages during the crisis

About 71% of Russian companies in 2020 did not change the size of social packages for their employees, despite the crisis caused by the pandemic and the collapse in oil prices . This follows from a study conducted by NPF Sberbank and the personnel search service Rabota.ru. Research materials are available from RBC.

“At 2% of enterprises, the social package has become even larger - new options have appeared there. Only 16% of employers had to significantly reduce the social package.

More than 1,000 executives and HR directors of Russian companies participated in the study.

In order not to lose employees, some companies, in addition to bonuses and bonuses, offer them tuition fees (22%), an extended VHI package (16%), vacation trips (14%), organization of free education and recreation for employees’ children (11%) and corporate pension programs (5%).

“Employers understand caring for employees differently,” the authors of the study conclude. Thus, 48% of respondents said that the office has tea, coffee, fruits, sweets. 36% considered a decent salary a concern. 34% reported paying for mobile communications and the Internet. Tuition fees are included in the social package of more than 20% of enterprises, travel to work is included in the social package of 16%. Another 14% pay for meals at the office, and more than 10% pay for voluntary HEALTH insurance.
