“Under the conditions of sanctions pressure, the priority is the prompt replacement of foreign goods with domestic counterparts or from friendly countries,” Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Sibgatullin said today at a press conference at the Tatar-Inform news agency.
An appropriate center has been established in the region to facilitate the process of import substitution. The Import Substitution Center is an electronic resource with free access based on the website of the Republican Marketing Center. it contains information about both imported products and their analogues. In the register of import-substituting goods, Sibgatullin said, at the moment, about 109 thousand nomenclature items have been included. Of these, about 56 thousand commodity items are products of Tatarstan manufacturers.
“This mechanism makes it possible to collect information on import-substituting products manufactured in the country, to provide assistance to customers whose activities depended on components, materials, components, equipment, and so on produced in unfriendly countries,” Sibgatullin said.
The Deputy Minister noted that the catalog of import-substituting products includes not only manufacturers, but also suppliers reselling them, as well as their contact details. Interested parties can use the resource to apply for a transaction. “We are not narrowing the base, allowing only manufacturers to restore the interrupted connection, let there be a reseller,” he said.
