In the United States began to refuse organ transplant unvaccinated against COVID-19

UCHealth, a non-profit association of medical institutions in Colorado, has begun denying organ transplants to patients who have not been vaccinated against covid-19 "in almost any situation." This is reported by The Washington Post.

UCHealth confirmed to the publication that they are obliging all organ recipients to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in addition to other medical requirements. According to the representative of the organization Dan Weaver, other organ transplant centers in the country also adhere to this practice or are already moving to it.

UCHealth, the newspaper notes, referred to studies according to which the CORONAVIRUS leads to the death of people who receive lung transplants. Weaver noted that in such cases, the mortality rate is 20-30%, while the usual level in the country is 1.6%.

Earlier, Colorado Rep. Tim Geithner posted a document on Twitter stating that a patient who had not been vaccinated against the coronavirus was denied a kidney transplant. The woman was notified that her name was "deactivated" on the list of those who are waiting for a donor organ. In addition, the patient was told that she was given 30 days to get vaccinated, otherwise she would be excluded from the list.

In Los Angeles, schoolchildren from the age of 12 were required to be vaccinated against the coronavirus Society
