The embassy in the Southern Federal District estimated the timing of the resumption of transit from Crimea to Odessa

Road and rail transit from Crimea to Odessa may be restored in the near future. This was stated by Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Southern Federal District (SFD) Kirill Stepanov, RIA Novosti reports.

“I am sure that in the near future transit will also be restored through the Kherson region towards Odessa,” he said.

According to Stepanov, the load on the highways and railways connecting these two regions may increase.

Kherson region is located between Crimea and Odessa region of Ukraine. In early March, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the city of Kherson had been taken under control. Kherson is the largest sea and river port on the Dnieper.
