Moscow polyclinics have switched to an enhanced mode of operation due to the spread of the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS, Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova told reporters.
The authorities have expanded the staff of doctors on duty to receive patients with symptoms of SARS, as well as the diagnostic capabilities of polyclinics. In addition to an examination and a PCR test, if there are indications, Muscovites will undergo additional examinations - an ECG, a blood test, and others.
According to Rakova, the authorities expect a significant increase in the number of omicron cases. A strain with a large number of mutations and a rapid spread was discovered in November 2021 in South Africa.
