The Ministry of Health classified schoolchildren as a special risk group for the severity of COVID-19

Schoolchildren belong to a special risk group associated with the development of severe forms of covid-19 , Deputy Minister of HEALTH Oleg Salagai said at the all-Russian parent meeting, TASS reports.

“Today, more than 500,000 minors with covid-19 are schoolchildren. They are at particular risk associated with contacts, associated with risk factors for the development of severe forms of CORONAVIRUS infection,” Salagay said.

He noted the importance of ensuring a high level of "information and prevention work" among students.

In addition, according to Salagay, preventive examinations of schoolchildren, which were stopped due to the pandemic, are now being resumed. To date, most of the regions have restored them.
