In Kazakhstan, the holding of ceremonial events dedicated to the celebration of the next anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2021 has been canceled, press secretary of the President of the country Berik Uali said.
“Due to the serious epidemiological situation, it was decided to postpone the traditional Victory Day celebrations to next year,” Uali wrote on his FACEBOOK page.
The press secretary of the HEAD of state explained that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, would address the residents of the country with congratulations, and all war veterans would receive material assistance.
“In Kazakhstan, the memory of veterans of the battles of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers is honored,” Uali added.
Earlier, the authorities of Kazakhstan, like a year earlier, decided to cancel the military parade. “Unfortunately, now Nur-Sultan is in the red zone and restrictions have been introduced. Therefore, a military parade is not expected this year both in Nur-Sultan and in other regions," HEALTH Minister Alexei Tsoi explained the situation.
