Tambov farmers harvested over 5 million tons of sugar beets.

According to current data, farmers in the region have harvested over 5.3 million tons of sugar beets by weight.
The crop has been harvested from 81% of beet fields—113,000 hectares. Over 3.6 million tons have been sent to sugar refineries for processing.
In total, this year's harvest is planned for 140,000 hectares of sugar beets. The largest acreage of sugar beets is in the Mordovsky, Znamensky, Kirsanov, and Tambovsky municipal districts (over 10,000 hectares each). It is worth noting that this year's yield significantly exceeds last year's figures—466 centners per hectare ( compared to 387 centners per hectare in 2024
). Five Tambov factories process sugar beets with a combined capacity of 31,100 tons per day. Since the beginning of September, the region's sugar factories have processed 2.7 million tons of new- harvest sugar beets . More than 350,000 tons of sugar have been produced from the new harvest.
The sugar is sold in Russian chain stores, supplied to confectionery manufacturers, and exported to Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan , and Azerbaijan .
