
The annual potential costs of medical care for oncohematological patients (from diagnostics to the post-transplantation period) in Russia should reach 97 billion rubles, and now they are many times less. This conclusion was reached by the authors of a joint study by the Tinkoff Family Foundation, the Center for Strategic Research and the National Research University Higher School of Economics, dedicated to oncohematological care in Russia (RBC has it). An additional 100 billion rubles. required for the construction and equipping of clinics for the treatment of diseases in this area.

The growth rate of the primary incidence of cancer of the lymphatic and hematopoietic tissue increased from 1.5% in 2018 to 4.7% in 2019. The increase among this group exceeds the increase among other initially diagnosed malignant neoplasms by 2.1% (4.7 vs. 2.6%). Most oncohematological diagnoses occur in the population over 18 years of age, with the exception of acute leukemia, this diagnosis predominates in children.
