The Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology "Vector" showed pictures of viral particles of the omicron-strain covid-19 . Photos published on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

The center infected cells with the omicron strain in the laboratory to study its shape, size, and other morphological characteristics.

“The pictures show vesicular structures (vesicles), which in most cases are dilated tubules of the intracellular network,” Rospotrebnadzor notes.

The proteins that make up the virus accumulate around these vesicles and, under certain physical and chemical conditions, penetrate inside, receiving an additional shell.
