Agricultural production in January-November in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, households) amounted to Br31.4 billion and increased by 0.9% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2022, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.
Agricultural organizations produced goods worth Br25.1 billion, or 2.1% more in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.Farms of all categories produced 1,631.1 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (live weight), which is 3.1% more than in January-November 2022, and 7,636 thousand tons of MILK (5.7% more). Agricultural organizations account for 97.3% of the volume of livestock and poultry production (live weight), 97.6% of milk and 84.6% of egg production.
As of December 1, 2023, there were 4.1 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations , or 100.4% of the level of December 1, 2022, including 1.4 million cows (99.99%). The number of pigs was 2.3 million, which is 0.5% more than on the corresponding date of the previous year.
