Construction of new livestock facilities is not only new conditions for keeping animals and working conditions for the team, but also new technologies, new equipment and modern approaches, which immediately gives an economic effect to the enterprise where the construction is underway. This was noted by First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Vasily Sysoyev, BELTA reports.

"In 2024 , we created a solid feed base (in 2024, 34 centners of feed units were prepared per conventional head in the region), and reached almost 6.9 thousand liters of milk yield per cow. The task for the coming year is to reach 7 thousand, while there should not be a single district in the region with a milk yield below 5 thousand liters of milk per cow. If we add even 5% to 10% for each region, then all our districts will reach a milk yield of 5 thousand," Vasily Sysoyev said.

The construction of new farms helps to work in terms of compliance with milk production technology in the region. "Closing old farms, building new ones - we were able to fulfill our ambitious task: we put into operation almost 20 complexes last year: 10 by decree of the head of state, another 10 at our own expense and loan funds from processing enterprises. This allows us to look to the future with optimism in terms of milk production. Today, the growth rate of milk production has reached 105% of last year's level," noted Vasily Sysoyev.

In the Minsk region, for the first time in history, they achieved a result of 2 million tons of milk produced. "We exceeded this figure back in late November 2024 and we will increase this figure. Today, we have about 30 new dairy farms in operation. At various stages of readiness, but the prospects for their introduction in the next year and a half are being calculated. All this will again allow us to fulfill the instructions of the head of state - to move away from tethered housing, transfer animals to new modern farms and create conditions for our people. And, of course, this is wages. I do not want to talk about the results of the year now, but for 11 months among all regions in the agricultural sector, it is the highest," emphasized Vasily Sysoev.

According to him, the construction of new livestock facilities in itself is a positive moment for any enterprise where it takes place. "This improves the work of the enterprise itself and the work of our construction industry. We come there with new technologies, new equipment, more modern approaches, because science does not stand still and manufacturers always offer us something new. The most important thing is the effect of the fact that we are building a complex. This is important for specialists who can work in normal conditions, in warmth and cleanliness. At least 15-20% of the increase in milk occurs because the animals were transferred from the old premises to the new one. Therefore, the economic effect is obvious," he said.
