Agricultural production in Belarus increased by 3% compared to last year

April 17, Minsk . In March 2023, farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) households and households) produced goods worth Br4.583 billion, which is 3% more than in the same period last year. This was reported to BelTA in the National Statistical Committee.

Farms of all categories produced 448.4 thousand tons of livestock and poultry in live weight, milk - 1.967 million tons. In agricultural organizations, the production of livestock and poultry in live weight amounted to 435.3 thousand tons and compared with increased by 3.8%, 1.94 million tons of milk were produced (4.2% more).

As of April 1, 2023, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations , including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.3 million.
