Agricultural production in Belarus in January-July increased by 5.2%

August 15, MINSK . Agricultural production in January-July in farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, household farms) amounted to Br14 billion and increased by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2022 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from National Statistical Committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br13.5 billion, or 5.6% more in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 1,034 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (in live weight), which is 2.7% more than in January-July 2022. MILK - 4868.3 thousand tons (5.7% more). Agricultural organizations account for 97.4% of the volume of livestock and poultry production (in live weight), 97.8% of milk and 83.2% of egg production.

As of August 1, 2023, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations , or 101.6% of the level of August 1, 2022, including cows - 1.4 million (100.1%). The number of pigs was 2.4 million, which is 0.8% more than the corresponding date of the previous year.
