Agricultural production in January-July in farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, household farms) amounted to Br14 billion and increased by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2022 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from National Statistical Committee.
Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br13.5 billion, or 5.6% more in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.Farms of all categories produced 1,034 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (in live weight), which is 2.7% more than in January-July 2022. MILK - 4868.3 thousand tons (5.7% more). Agricultural organizations account for 97.4% of the volume of livestock and poultry production (in live weight), 97.8% of milk and 83.2% of egg production.
As of August 1, 2023, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations , or 101.6% of the level of August 1, 2022, including cows - 1.4 million (100.1%). The number of pigs was 2.4 million, which is 0.8% more than the corresponding date of the previous year.
