There will be a holiday. What is the assortment in the stores of the Krupsky district and what will appear in them for the New Year

Tangerines, sweets, fresh MEAT , salmon, vegetables, cheeses ... Belarusians are accustomed to setting the New Year's table generously and plentifully. Most of our compatriots will follow this tradition when welcoming the new year, 2024. And if in large cities there will be no problems with the provision of food, then in the outback of the capital, for example, there will certainly be no diversity. However, local trade must still try to bring the holiday in the form of favorite delicacies to even the most remote village. BELTA correspondents found out how this task will be handled in the Krupsky district.

In the city - chains, in small villages - auto shops

“In our district there are 234 stationary retail establishments, as well as 26 publicly accessible public catering establishments, which provide services to a population of approximately 22 thousand people. In the Krupsky district there are 226 rural settlements, of which 175 have a population of up to 100 people,” - said Tatyana Kozlovskaya, HEAD of the economics department of the Krupsky district executive committee.

Small villages are most often visited by auto shops - both from the MINSK branch of the regional consumer society and private ones.

“In total, there are 14 auto shops in the area, 5 of which belong to a branch. For remote villages, an auto shop is a purely social project, often unprofitable. But everyday goods must be delivered to each settlement, regardless of the number of people living in it. That is why when creating routes ", which are agreed upon by the executive committee, small villages must be included in the list of villages visited by auto shops. Bread, MILK , groceries and other essential products must be delivered in a timely manner, because the residents of such villages, as a rule, are elderly people who cannot get to the regional center," - noted Tatyana Kozlovskaya.

The frequency of delivery of goods by the auto store is at least twice a week according to the established schedule.

“The schedule of movement of auto shops on the pre-holiday days will not change, but as for the assortment, it will be expanded taking into account the wishes of customers. Some goods will be delivered to order,” said the head of the economics department.

In Krupki, representatives of large retail, as well as branded retail outlets, are mostly responsible for providing city residents with food.

“The chains here began to develop in 2017, and currently there are no stores of the Minsk branch of the regional consumer union in Krupki itself. In large rural settlements, cooperators’ outlets have to compete with private traders, which is sometimes difficult. However, we are constantly studying the availability of necessary products in stores branch, where today they rely on goods from local producers,” noted Tatyana Kozlovskaya.

There are five stores per thousand residents

The agricultural town of Krupsky is home to approximately a thousand people, and this population is served by five retail outlets - from chain stores to small private shops. Among the latter is a retail outlet owned by local businessman Sergei Shchavrovsky.

“I have been in business since 1999. I started here with a small pavilion, which I first rented and then bought. When the opportunity arose to move to a larger premises, and this was a closed raipo store, we began to look for ways not to rent, but to purchase the property. We took advantage credit funds and became owners,” said the entrepreneur.

The store opened in 2019 after renovation.

“It’s not easy to survive, given the level of competition even in our agricultural town. However, over the years of work, we have not only gained positions among buyers, but also gained valuable experience. Our own system of suppliers, convenient location, verified assortment - all this helps us stay afloat,” - Sergey Shchavrovsky shared.

For a rural store, the range at the outlet is quite wide. “Image and the desire to work are everything to us. If a buyer is dissatisfied, he will immediately run to another. Therefore, we try to comply. By the New Year, we will certainly expand the range. We will bring everything that people need to their table. A rush of demand is expected in the last decade December, as it traditionally happens,” said Sergei Shchavrovsky.

The schedule for the supply of goods to the store is formed as follows: sausage products are delivered three times a week, dairy products - five times, bakery products - daily.

“Borisov confectioners are also promising cakes for the holiday. We’ll add fruit. Customers will be happy,” explained store manager Irina Litvinova.

Entrepreneur - for preserving state trade

In the agricultural town of Nacha, the only store of a branch of the consumer cooperative is competing with a retail outlet owned by Oleg Kushneryuk. The entrepreneur built the facility on his own; he calls the business a family business, since his wife works behind the counter.

“The business was started by my grandmother, from whom I took the baton. Then there was an ordinary wooden stall here, over time the opportunity arose to expand. We try for people to have a variety of goods and please the eye. In addition to duty positions (from bread to milk and sausages), we supply seasonal goods. In the spring, for example, flowers, dishes for planting them, equipment,” said Oleg Kushneryuk.

The entrepreneur has been working with many suppliers for a long time, so he can guarantee the quality of the goods.

"In winter, when there are no summer residents, it is more difficult to survive. In addition to us and the branch store, there are auto shops operating here, so we bring in small volumes. As for the holidays, the assortment will not expand significantly. We will add sets of sweets, fruits, and meat products. Experience shows: those who younger people, closer to the New Year, will go to the city, because people need a beautiful picture, and along the way they will also make purchases. Those who will not make it to the city will come to us. There are few of them, but we will provide our customers with everything they need," Oleg noted Kushneryuk.

He also added that he advocates the preservation of state trade, which will ensure social standards in any economic situation.

The shelves of the old store of the Minsk branch of the regional consumer society also have everything you need. Fresh bread, milk, several types of sausages, groceries - a standard set of products is available to villagers here too.

“It’s not what it was in the early 2000s. But we don’t have many people either...” summed up the seller Lyudmila Mazanik.
