Nesvizh is 800 years old! What have you prepared for the celebration of the birthday of the city?

On August 12, Nesvizh celebrates its 800th anniversary. By this date Nesvizh district came up in the status of the leader of the Minsk region in the production of agricultural products. At the heart of these high achievements lies a prudent attitude to their land and love for the small homeland of the inhabitants of the region, Alexander Lomsky, chairman of the Nesvizh regional executive committee, is sure. We talked with him about the future of the region, preparations for the birthday of the city and reasons for pride.

New jobs and investments

One of the basic conditions for the effectiveness of the development of the region, the chairman of the district executive committee is sure, is ensuring economic stability. The industrial potential of the Nesvizh region consists of nine enterprises employing 3.5 thousand people. The increase in production volume was provided by Gorodeya Sugar Plant OJSC, Nesvizh Plant of Medical Preparations OJSC, Nesvizh Baby Food Plant LLC, Med-interplast IPUE, Oblrapsagroservice CJSC.

- This year, 16 large-scale investment projects are being implemented in the district, 8 of them are in the agricultural sector. Thus, on behalf of the head of state, within the framework of the One Region - One Project program, the Med-Interplast enterprise is building a building in Nesvizh for the production of medicines. Upon completion of the project, it is planned to create 28 new jobs and attract investments in the region's economy in the amount of more than 17 million rubles, - said Alexander Lomsky.

There is a modernization and reconstruction of the gross-forming enterprises of the region. Thus, the Gorodeya Sugar Plant is reconstructing and modernizing the production capacity for processing sugar beet with an increase to 12 thousand tons per day.

- In Nesvizh, at the plant of medical preparations, the department of water preparation and the preparation of solutions of the workshop of medical preparations are being modernized, and the line for the production of fermented milk products is being updated at the baby food plant. The agricultural sector is also changing for the better. OJSC "Gritskevichi", OJSC "New Life", OJSC "Lan-Nesvizh", experimental base "Sveklovichnaya", OJSC "September 17", OJSC "Yushevichi", agricultural complex "Nesvizhsky" are building new modern dairy complexes, reconstructing existing premises for the maintenance of cattle and the building of dairy blocks for a significant increase in milk production. Agrokombinat "Snov" is renovating premises for keeping pigs, - says Alexander Lomsky.

More square meters

The head of the Nesvizh region emphasizes that the construction complex is one of the key industries and is considered an indicator that reflects the general situation in the development of the region.

- Last year, significant progress was made in this area: for example, with the planned target for the commissioning of a total area of ​​residential buildings of 12 thousand square meters. meters introduced 18,805 sq. meters. For the first half of 2023 - already 5897 sq. meters, including in rural areas - 2930 "squares" of housing, - Alexander Lomsky cites the figures.

Particular attention is paid to the social sphere in the district. The construction of a polyclinic in Nesvizh, which will be equipped with the most advanced medical equipment, is nearing completion. The grand opening is scheduled on the day of the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the city - August 12. With the support of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, local authorities, organizations and enterprises of the region, as well as all caring residents, large-scale repair and construction work was carried out on the eve of this date.

- This year, as a result of ongoing repairs, 24 multi-apartment residential buildings have already acquired new facades. Five residential buildings were put into operation after a major overhaul. 18 streets paved. Many administrative buildings, libraries, a cinema, schools, kindergartens, and a music school have acquired a modern look. A new point of attraction has appeared - the square near the Town Hall, part of Chapaeva Street has become pedestrian. Students of the Faculty of Architecture of BNTU, with whom the region had fruitfully cooperated earlier, helped with the project, - said Alexander Lomsky.

Neighborhoods also sparkled with new colors: murals appeared on nine buildings. Large-scale work has been carried out to improve public gardens and the embankment along Slutskaya Street, and recreation areas have been created near the House of Culture and the Youth Center. Guests of Nesvizh are greeted by a new entrance sign in the form of four gates, through which a century ago it was possible to enter the city from different sides (until our time only one has survived - Slutsk). Another important social project is planned for 2024 - the construction of a sports and recreation complex.

Harvesting in full swing

During the August days, the region lives not only in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary - the harvest is actively continuing. The agrarian sector of the region is represented mainly by agricultural organizations. At the end of 2022, gross agricultural production amounted to 385 million rubles, which is 3.3% higher than last year.

- At the same time, the growth rate in animal husbandry was 101.9%, and in crop production - 106%. Increased milk production by 8.9 thousand tons, or 106%. The productivity of the dairy herd increased by 303 kilograms, the average annual milk yield was 8803 kilograms per cow. The work of our farmers in 2022 was appreciated: following the results of the harvesting campaign, they confirmed their right to call themselves the best, having won a winning place in the regional festival "Dazhynki-2022". This year, the weather is testing the strength of farmers, but we strive to achieve high results, - says the head of the region.

Currently, the actual harvested area of ​​cereals and legumes is 18,580 hectares. The planned gross harvest in weight before completion is 130 thousand tons with a yield of 70.0 centners per hectare. Corn harvesting area for grain is 3280 hectares, the planned gross harvest in weight before processing is 34.44 thousand tons with a yield of 105 centners per hectare. The actual rape harvesting area will be 3878 hectares, the planned gross harvest in weight before processing is 15.9 thousand tons with a yield of 41.0 centners per hectare.

- We are very proud that this is not the first time our district has been awarded at the highest level. For the third time we become the winners of the competition with inclusion on the Republican Board of Honor. The activity of the region was assessed by many indicators, and it is gratifying that we were among the leaders in all of them. I am sure that this year we will also show a high class, - summed up Alexander Lomsky.

Nesvizhchyna can be called a tourist gem and the cultural capital of Belarus. The tourist infrastructure of the area is represented by a large number of attractions: the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Nesvizh", the Nesvizh Museum of Local History, the Church of the Body of God, the former Benedictine monastery, the City Hall, the Slutsk Gate.

It is worth noting separately the ecological trail "The Magical World of the Zavitansky Forest", which is visited with great pleasure by residents of the region and guests of the city. For the convenience of tourists, there are five hotels, 28 catering facilities, two campsites, 24 farmsteads.
