According to Maria Klimova, Belarus is fully self-sufficient in food products, from FLOUR and bread to dairy and MEAT products. "The situation with food supply is stable, there is no hype. All food products are delivered to retail outlets in a timely manner. If necessary, our enterprises are ready to increase production volumes, as there is capacity for this," she said.

As for wheat flour, grain for its production, their stocks in the organizations of bakery products amount to about 120 thousand tons. "These resources will be enough until the new wheat crop arrives. We fully satisfy the domestic market in this product," she added.

Speaking about other positions, the deputy head noted that over the past two months, supplies to the domestic market of canned meat have been increased by 14%, meat and vegetable - by 32%. Also, deliveries of sausages increased by 1%, for canned MILK - by 9% and for soft cheeses - by 51%. "These measures were taken by processing organizations in a quiet mode of operation due to an increase in consumer demand for these goods, while there was no growing demand for other food items," the specialist emphasized. She noted that there are plenty of such products in the country and there are no prerequisites for interruptions. The production potential of meat processing plants and milk processing organizations allows us to provide the domestic market in full.

Maria Klimova also said that with an annual milk production of 7.8 million tons, only a third of this volume goes to the domestic market, the remaining two-thirds are exported without harm to the domestic consumer. “With the production per capita of 828 kg of dairy products per year, the population of the republic consumes only 244 kg per person per year. Thus, self-sufficiency is 256%, and the surplus is 4.9 million tons of milk,” she said. we produce six times more than we consume, and eight times more cheeses, two times more whole milk products than the demand of the domestic market, and 4.5 times more condensed milk. products, for example, for butter and canned food - by 70-82%, and for dry dairy products - by 91%.

Enterprises maintain the required amount of stocks in the event of an increase in demand. Stocks of dry mixes and cereals for baby food at "Bellakt" exceed the two-month production volume. Stocks at butter enterprises reach 151% of the monthly requirement, mature cheeses - 2 times more, canned meat - 62%, poultry meat - 45% of the monthly requirement.

“We have everything to provide this year with a harvest: areas, seed stock, fuel, mineral fertilizers and equipment. Sowing has already begun in the southern regions. In the northern regions, the readiness for spring field work is high,” Maria Klimova concluded.
