
March 29, MINSK. Belarus is ready to supply its technologies to Vietnam and help with the construction of new enterprises. This was stated by President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Belarus Nguyen Van Ngy, BelTA has learned.
“We will strive to transfer our technologies to the territory of Vietnam, to create joint ventures there for the production of engineering products,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
According to the HEAD of state, Belarus is also ready to expand the supply of food products and mineral fertilizers, which is especially important now.
The President said that a visit by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to Vietnam is planned. “Already there, it will be possible to discuss in detail both the results of the past years of cooperation and the prospects for further cooperation. Vietnam has always been our friend and will remain so,” the Belarusian leader assured.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Vietnam were established on January 24, 1992. This year the countries are celebrating their 30th anniversary.
Belarus and Vietnam are constantly developing political dialogue. The exchange of visits at the highest and high levels has been established between the states. Interaction in international organizations is successfully developing.In 2021, the trade turnover between Belarus and Vietnam amounted to more than $200 million. Belarus exported potash fertilizers, livestock products, instrumentation products, medicines and cosmetics. Rubber, nuts, fish fillets, integrated circuits, propylene polymers, and canned foods were purchased in Vietnam.
Vietnam has an assembly plant for MAZ trucks. Deliveries of special tractors "Belarus" for work in rice fields, BELAZ mining equipment are being worked out. There are agreements between the countries on the construction of an enterprise for the production of MILK and dairy products.
