It is specified that among wild boars 7 foci of the disease were detected in 5 regions of the country: in Astrakhan (3 foci), Kursk (1), Kostroma (1), Saratov (1) regions and Primorsky Krai (1 case).

Among domestic pigs, 8 outbreaks were recorded on the territory of 3 subjects: in the Volgograd (1) and Samara (2) regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory (5).

Outbreaks among domestic livestock are mainly recorded in personal subsidiary plots (PSP) with a low level of biosecurity. So, in the Samara region in early April, the outbreak was detected in a private household plot, where 51 pigs were kept, 5 of them fell ill.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, in European countries the epizootic situation with African swine fever is much more serious than in Russia.

For example, in Romania from the beginning of the year to April 10, 219 outbreaks of ASF were recorded, in Poland from the beginning of the year to the end of March - 774 cases.
